Dr. Scott K. M. Barr is a Royal College certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery, aesthetic medical treatments and regenerative medicine for patients from all over Ontario and across Canada. He has treated tens of thousands of patients in aesthetic and regenerative procedures over the past 25+ years and has trained and mentored many other medical professionals in these treatment modalities.
Dr. Barr’s patient population reside all over Ontario and other parts of Canada. He is well known for his meticulous attention to each detail of the aesthetic experience and regenerative journey. He spends considerable time listening to his patients’ needs and objectives and creates unique, patient-centric treatment plans for each individual. As founder and Medical Director of Barr Plastic Surgery and the Northern Ontario Surgical Centre, he has built the reputation of being a compassionate aesthetic specialist, devoted to exceptional surgical outcomes and the highest calibre of care and safety.
As Medical Director of SKIN MediSpa, Dr. Barr works with his highly experienced nursing and medical aesthetic staff to generate exceptional outcomes. His appreciation for the importance of optimizing symmetry and balance with the unique characteristics of each individual enables him to create natural, beautiful outcomes for SKIN MediSpa patients.
Dr Barr has been a pioneer in the provision of regenerative medicine including PRP, Stem Cells, hormone replacement therapy and peptides. He oversees directed weight reduction programs that have benefited many patients over the last decade.

Dr. Barr is a member of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAPS), The American Society of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery (the American Society), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Laser and Aesthetic Surgery Society (CLASS), the Canadian Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, the Ontario Medical Association, the Canadian Medical Association and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Dr Barr was an assistant professor with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and is a past chairman of the Sudbury General Hospital Laser Committee. He was the former Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery as well as the former Chief of the Department of Surgical Subspecialties. He sat on the Cosmetic Surgery Advisory Committee and the OHP (Out-of-Hospital Premises) Committee with the College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a past member of the Ethics Committee with Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He was an elected member of the executives of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and was the President of CSAPS in 2020. Dr. Barr is the director of Ontario Regenerative Medicine and a member of the Cell Surgical Network.

Dr. Barr is regularly invited to speak on the latest cosmetic medical treatments, aesthetic plastic surgery procedures available, as well as anti-aging treatments and rejuvenation medicine. He has been invited to provide insights by multiple pharmaceutical and medical supply companies over the years and he has provided expertise on Advisory Boards for most of the multinational companies operating in the medical aesthetic industry. Dr. Barr also has been a key note speaker for the Aesthetic Society, CLASS, The Toronto Aesthetic Meeting, Cosmetic Update Meetings, and CSAPS over the last 15 years. He has been an international educator teaching Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists and others for Mentor, J and J, Allergan, Galderma, Prollenium, Merz, Renuvion, Skin Ceuticals, Alastin Skin Care and others. These companies are international leaders in skin care, injectable agents, neuromodulators and skin rejuvenation technology.
