At Ontario Regenerative Medicine,
we help you rediscover a life of strength, balance, and vitality.
Ontario Regenerative Medicine offers SportVis hyaluronic acid injections for the quick and effective treatment of tendonitis and ankle sprains.

SportVis is the only hyaluronic acid (HA) injection treatment for pain relief and improved function in injured tendons and ligaments. It has been clinically demonstrated to provide relief from symptoms while also helping to quickly restore performance in damaged tendons and ligaments.
The innovative, active ingredient in SportVis is soft tissue adapted biocompatible hyaluronic acid (STABHA). STABHA is the only hyaluronic acid approved by Health Canada for the purpose of pain relief and restoration of function in damaged tendons and ligaments.
SportVis injections are administered in two treatment doses, typically spaced one week apart. Your treatment schedule will be based on the assessment of your injury and determined during consultation at ORM.
SportVis Treatment Steps:
Lateral epicondylitis, more commonly referred to as tennis elbow, occurs with overuse of the forearm muscles. The forearm tendons become damaged from repeated motion. This leads to pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow. Tennis elbow presents as inflammation, or in more severe cases as micro-tearing of the tendons that connect the forearms muscles.
SportVis provides pain relief from tennis elbow while also working with your body to facilitate recovery, getting you back to your activities sooner.

A sprained or twisted ankle occurs when the ligaments that support and stabilize the ankle stretch beyond their limits and tear. A twisting force to the lower leg or foot can cause a sprain. Walking on uneven surfaces, suffering a fall, or playing certain sports can all be the cause of an ankle sprain. The severity of an ankle sprain depends on how much damage the ligaments sustained.
Ankle sprains most commonly occur in the ligaments on the outside of the ankle, known as the lateral ligaments. Your ankle quickly becomes swollen and painful to walk on. Without appropriate care and treatment, more severe sprains can weaken your ankle, making it more likely that an injury will reoccur.
SportVis treatment not only provides pain relief from ankle sprains but works with your body to improve the healing process and get you back to your activities sooner.

SportVis contains soft tissue adapted biocompatible hyaluronic acid (STABHA). It is injected into the soft tissue surrounding damaged tendons and ligaments using a specialized injection technique. The SportVis injection works with the body’s natural healing process to facilitate recovery and relieve pain.
SportVis is used to relieve pain and facilitate recovery in patients who have suffered a tendon or ligament injury, such as chronic tennis elbow or a sprained ankle.
A tendon or ligament injury is characterized by different levels of tearing of the tendon or ligament tissue. These injuries can occur either by repetitive use or a specific incident. Tennis elbow is an example of a tendon injury, whereas a sprained ankle is an example of a ligament injury.
Both sprained ankle and tennis elbow injuries require two injections of SportVis.
