How Does the Myomar Muscle Health Test Work?

The Myomar test is designed to evaluate and monitor muscle metabolism. Biomarker ranges have been established through numerous clinical studies on populations aged 40 and above.

Step 1. Collect Urine Sample.

ORM will provide you with your Myomar test kit. It includes everything you need to collect your urine sample.

Step 2. Return Your Sample

Mail your urine sample to the Myomar lab using the prepaid envelope. Laboratory is situated in Sudbury. You’ll also be instructed to answer a digital questionnaire to provide key context for your analysis.

Step 3. Analysis of Your Biomarkers.

The Myomar lab measures five key biomarkers related to muscle metabolism and generates a personalized muscle health score and detailed report.

Key Biomarkers Measured (proprietary panel):

• Amino acids reflecting muscle mass pool size.
• Byproducts of myofibrillar protein breakdown, adjusted for renal excretion.
• Pattern analysis correlating with validated muscle mass estimation methods such as DEXA scans.
• Energy biomarkers to understand mitochondria energy chain for proper muscle function.
